About
I'm Abhinav. I lead design at Altrr Software Services in Pune. For the last 5 years I've been designing products that people actually use to run their businesses: restaurant systems, real estate platforms, healthcare tools. The kind of software where a bad design decision means a kitchen backs up or a realtor loses a lead.
What makes me different from most designers is that I also write code. Not as a party trick, but because the best way to know if a design works is to build it. I prototype in React, ship frontends in Next.js, and use AI tools like Claude Code and Cursor daily. This portfolio? Designed every pixel, wrote every line.
Lately I've been deep in AI products: chat interfaces, voice-first flows, AI-powered data tools. The hard part is never the model itself. It's figuring out how a person should interact with something that thinks, and when the AI should stay quiet. That's what I'm most focused on right now.

Philosophy
Complex products don't need to feel complex. Show people what they need right now, and make the rest easy to find when they're ready.
MenuMitra serves 6 user types from one system. A chef and a customer see completely different screens, same data underneath.
See the workEveryone's racing to add AI. The model is the easy part. The hard part is knowing when AI should step in, when it should stay quiet, and how to keep it from feeling intrusive.
Built a voice-first listing flow for Brantford. Realtors talk for 60 seconds, AI fills out the form. No prompts, no menus.
See the workI started coding because I kept watching details get lost in handoff. Now I design with full knowledge of what's possible, and I build the frontend myself when it makes sense.
This portfolio: designed in Figma, built in Next.js + GSAP + Framer Motion. Every interaction is intentional because I implemented it.

Redesigned Trythat.ai end-to-end. Threw out the old form-heavy interface and built a chat-first experience where users just ask for what they want. Also designed Brantford, a realtor platform where you list a property by talking to your phone for 60 seconds instead of filling out a form. Leading a small design team and shipping across web and mobile.
2 products from scratch, both shipping on web and mobile.

This is where I learned to do both. Designed and built products across healthcare, restaurants, fitness, and government, often as the only designer. MenuMitra was the big one: a restaurant OS serving 2500+ restaurants. I designed 6 different interfaces for 6 different users, then wrote the frontend in React myself.
5+ production products, designed and coded.

Spent two years pulling insights out of messy CRM data with SQL. Not glamorous, but it gave me a solid sense for what matters in data versus what's noise. That background shows up in every dashboard and data-heavy interface I design now.
Data thinking before design thinking.

My first job out of college. Built web apps for government services in PHP and JavaScript. Basic stuff, but it meant I understood code before I ever opened a design tool.
Where it all started. Code first, design later.
